Won't start after swapping all injectors for refurbished ones.

I recon the injection system was tampered with, injection has been adjusted to run on the mucky injectors. Now you have had them cleaned itis now running rich . Just an idea .

Black smoke on acceleration on a diesel the 1st thing i would be looking at would be condition of intercooler and associated boost pipework / seals

Also if it is a pre dpf diesel smoke is normal

When shop refurbish injectors what do they do besides testing them in a jig how much injector sprays petrol, then clenaing the injector from old muck and finaly replacing O-ring.
What else do they fix?

Do MB sell refurbished injectors like they sell refurbished water pumps?

Sorry only just seen these replies. I'm not overly sure why I jumped to cause being injectors, I figured I will be keeping this van for a long long time so even if it wasn't the cause surely a fresh set will only be a positive thing. Same as other bits I've changed. None has stopped the smoking though.
As for dpf it's a 11 plate viano, I assume it's got dpf.
It smells quite rich even when idling.
I have bought a new maf sensor so I'll put that on too and see if that makes any difference.
I'd like to blank egr off but it looks like a ball ache to get to, any tips there would be appreciated.

Also I don't get any codes at all and it wasn't like this when I bought it and can't be normal to smoke this much. It has to be over fuelling, but what could cause this?

I guess it's just the people who have trouble with 'refurbished' injectors that make youtube videos and post their problems on line. Those who have positive results very rarely post anything.

But Personally I hear 'buy new ones' rather than refurb , I know this comment is of no use to the OP but when it's time to replace all 8 of mine I will just have to dig deep ££.

If they are piezos, replace one at time, start engine and wait it bleeds itself properly. Many have faced not start situation where they have changed all at once. Piezos may be PITA when getting air lock.
