I have C-class coupe- standard Obsidian black metallic, with anthracite black leather interior.
The centre console has the standard black flecked alloy/silver trim.

I liked the idea of the cinnamora anthracite(black-ish brown) wood trim, but approx £600 & no guarantee parts will match very well.

It is possible to get the normal (darkish) brown wood trim on ebay for a lot less, but what does everone think of this- will it look out of place in the rather stark coupe interior; will it require pipe & slippers or will it give an extra teaspoon of class & refinement??

Constructive comments please :)
Thanks, Matt

Would be hard to imagine, it may sound bad but when you see it in the flesh it could look good. Prime example for me was when i read in a post of a white c-class with a big black sticker on the roof, it sounds horrible but when you see it it looks really good.

Agreed, I thought the stick on pan roof looked surprisingly good.

I might have to just go for it & see what it looks like in the car & can always sell if not good.

When I was younger I always thought the wood trims in Jags & similar looked plasticky & not particularly classy, but I do now like the very dark woods & the CL/S class granite trims are pleasant

try and find a similar car for sale on a forcourt with the wood and sit in it to see if you like it.

personally, i'd rather have wood trim instead of alloy/carbon fibre etc anyday

the birds eye maple looks the business :)

Your car must obviously be an Avantgarde model.

Wood trim was standard in the Elegance/Classic.

Personally speaking, I prefer the alloy/black trim, but its individual taste.

Wood looks good when brand new and finger mark/scratch free, but give it a few years use and wood can look a little jaded.

Silversaloons suggestion is good.

Yes, agreed, but this is not available on pre-facelift

Not avantgarde- these classic/elegance/avgtd designations were never available on C-coupe; only base, SE & evolution or sport editions. Mine is evolution (which includes SE extras)

Sounds pipe and slippers to me.

Indeed I'm afraid wood doesn't do it for me, certainly not in a coupe. Would have to see it to give any real opinion, by which time it would be too late.!

hat on the parcel shelf & box of tissues with special cover?

Well, I have won an auction for four wood trim parts, even including the roller cover, which I have not found previously on ebay. It was relatively cheap, so thought I would try it.
I think it will be hard to judge if I prefer it or not, mainly because I just fancy a change to the car interior after the same one for 5yrs; particularly now the exterior has been revamped quite significantly.
Looking forward to trying it & will try to post before & afters.

Then all I will need is a red steering wheel....

What is it with you and red steering wheels ?

I know , i'm just kidding ....

FYI Simal ( Aka$h ) has a red leather and burl wood steering wheel for sale ;) It's for a CLK though ....

If it was red leather and black maple , i'd have had it ;)

It sounds nice, but my car is black with black interior, so might not go too well, as per your Azurite one, although the burl might match my new wood trim....
