Just came across this site. Ever needed short term insurance. Then this seems to offer the ideal service. Premiums start at £10 per day. My C43 was £20 for one days use. Not bad if your getting a car from an auction. Borrowing a friends etc.

Take a look.

Are you stalking me Shaun?....

I was on that site yesterday.

I'm hiring a van in the next two weeks, and taking a load of furniture to the new house in France ( :bannana: ). Hire company said I need to provide my own insurance.

My car insurance co won't help. They will not cover a second car on a policy for travel abroad, and if I want to make the van the first car on the policy, it'll stand for 12 months, and cost me a mint. I told them I'll be changing insurance companies when my policy comes up for renewal.

Anyhoo; dayinsure don't gover lgv's abroad, only cars. So that's no blummen help.

Hertz will hire me a van, but it's £540 (insured) for the 12 days, as opposed to £282 if I provide insurance; which I'll prolly do through work. (don't tell anyone :o )

Hence my need for an estate car (cos I'm not doing it by van more than once)

Sorry Shaun; back to topic. Yes, good find :). Norwich Union use them for short-term cover, so I think they're one of a very few companies doing what they do. Shame they don't do what I want. (story of my life.....)

top find old chap, could come in handy on race days and that kind of thing. 'ave a nana :bannana:

I doubt they'd insure track use...

It wouldn't work for a van but Elephant do temporary additional cover for cars. I had my C180 and C43 insured together for a month think it was about £30.

Directline have insured my Astra Coupe Turbo for the last month for free!! Yes free!! As an additional car to my policy on the C32. I was shocked - cost me £30 per month (max 3 months) last year.
