I am looking to change the standard headlights to Xenon ones on my 2001 CLK 230 K - I have already aquired one OE Xenon unit from a 320 CLK the issue is with the wiring for the self leveling unit - this is non exixtant on my car - does anyone know how to wire these in!
Further I am considering aftermarket Bi Xenons but have not seen any for my model - there is also a question of whether or not the aftermarket units give the same crisp cut-off as the originals any advice gratefully accepted.
Thanks :thumb:

My 01 w210 xenons are okayish, wifes 01 w203 are amazing.

Have you tried philips extreme bulbs first? £20 on e bay very good.

If you look on mbworld or benzworld there is loads of info on xenons.

The self levelling loom is available from MB. You will also need the sensors for the front and rear ARBs. When I did my 203 cost was approx £150 for the parts.

I think in addition you will need the control unit for headlamp range adjustment

By aftermarket do you mean HiD kits for converting the halogen light units? Two things. One, it's illegal. Two, the beam patterns are crap.. Stick with OEM

I mean the units that are sold as Xenon Headlights using projector beams - but as you mention the beam pattern is crap - will stick with oem - picked up one with ballasts and bulbs and self levelling unit complete - so would only need the wiring and ARB's (what are ARB's)

Had Phillips Bulbs in GT150's but nothing beats Xenons for crispness and light output

ARB = anti roll bars. You already have those! :)

There is a sensor attached to each ARB (to detect the vehicle's attitude) that you will need.
