My father did too, in 1944 about twice a day :D :D
Ok not PC, apologies to anyone it offends.

Now for the factory. Words fail me. Too good to be true.

It is the photo of the light tunnel to detect any paint/bodywork anomalies that really gets to me...my new C-Class estate had several paint and bodywork defects that were spotted the first morning I took delivery of the car. And they were factory-created ones that had to be fixed under warranty.

No doubt Sindelfingen staff need decent facilities and training......

That is just amazing!!!!

It just shows how much money they make, to be able to have such a place like that and about two staff!

Looks lovely :D

Ditto.

The attention to detail is just incredible. A 2nd hand Phaeton at £22,000 would be a complete bargain.

This is the norm for most good factories in Germany; In My case it makes our woodworking industry look Victorian. You will never find in the construction industry floors covered in sawdust. Everything is in order not just chucked in the units by idiots.
We have a lot to thank them for (sorry to say) but they are top notch and efficient
