The hole unit on my C220 CDI (1999 V) needs changing but costs £200. Does anyone knows better and cheaper?

The AC compressor on my C220 CDI 1999 only kicks in when the engine is warm (just below 80) Can anyone help? Reward!!!

Hi all The AC compressor on my C220 CDI only kicks in when the engine has reached its normal temp. Only then, can I switch the engine off and on again and it works normally. Engine cold and it's all over again. Suggestion leading to a repair will be rewarded. Cheers David :confused:

Hi all It seems that my air conditioning kicks in after about 5-6 miles and before that the air is well.......not very cold, feels like when the heating system is just off. Any ideas Cheers David
