Think I am about to scrap 2005 CLK 320

Have a CLK320 That I bought almost 3 years back but its got a few issues and I think I am about to (heartbreakingly) scrap - maybe just posting for a sanity check! Its had various electrical problems and (as no surprise) a heap of rust on the passenger back quarter. There is some water ingress...

Rear under CLK320 video (didn't upload correctly before)

Hi, apologies for the double post but I just realised the video I posted on the other thread was no use/ didn't upload (and I was asking advice based on crappy photos). Looking at this: Rear under clk320 Rear under clk320 I gather it's quite bad. Ballpark what kind of price range to fix...

2004 clk - rust (help identifying)

Hi, I was posting on another thread about a 2004 320. Someone mentioned the early ones get rusty rear arches and rear subframe. I'm really out of my depth here! I took the car for a test drive. Everything felt smooth no random noises etc. But I don't really know how to identify surface rust...

M112 Prefacelift CLK - What to look for

Sorry all - I've been spamming the forum a bit recently. A 2005/2004 CLK 320 Just popped up locally and has the M112 engine with 110k miles on it. A quick google suggests this engine is pretty decent - what should I be looking out for on inspection of this car? Thanks again - so far this has...

    Engine management codes - P202A, P203A and P2062 - m271 clk

Ok - I am confused - taking P202A: The generic message is "P202A Reductant Tank Heater Control Circuit/Open" (according to this P202A Reductant Tank Heater Control Circuit/Open) But the message "left cylinder bank camshaft adjustment (work link)(P0340)" is given here Full Diagnostic Trouble...

    Engine management codes - P202A, P203A and P2062 - m271 clk

Hi, I was posting on another thread about an old clk but I was spamming myself and these got lost in the noise! I used a no name ODB scanner and torque and got the following codes: its a clk200 - two of those codes seem to be diesel related (and one I think is low fuel) - would that be...

    CLK 200 / 2006 / 5 Speed Auto

Ok, sorry about this.. I'm even spamming myself now..! it seems the first thing to go is the O2 sensor. That doesn't seem such a big thing on its own. Cam magnet with a blocker doesn't seem such a difficult repair on its own, It looks like an easy enough DIY repair.. even for the uninitiated...

    CLK 200 / 2006 / 5 Speed Auto

Yeah, I got you (sorry, my apologies, I was a bit vague in my response!). It definitely seemed a bit oily. But I'm wondering how much to repair the electrics if the oil has gotten all the way down... Probably not worth it on a 3k car at this stage?

    CLK 200 / 2006 / 5 Speed Auto

Yeah..! Like I say hit and miss- that's a real ticking (pun intended!) Timebomb that had been dealt with but I'm concerned about this leaky cam magnet issue 🙈.. I'm not even sure how much that will be..!
