4000rpm

Hi guys Hope somebody can help. My car throws up these faults and the engine warning light comes on under acceleration after about 4000rpm. I can reset the codes and the engine light goes out and drives fine otherwise as long as i don't go above 4000rpm. Spark plugs and leads, coils, fuel...

Hi, my mercedes c180 manual wont rev over 4000rpm when stationary, but will when moving, is this normal or a fault, as I've just had someone come to view it as Im selling it and he said it was a major fault, someone please please help. Thankyou.

Hi there everyone, just hoping that someone on here maybe able to help or steer me in the right direction. What happens is... The car starts and runs fine up to a point of 4000rpm then the engine dies and goes into a limp home mode, there is a brief puff of smoke and sounds like it's misfiring...

noticed occasionally over the past week that the car (W210 320cdi) wont rev past 4000rpm whilst driving. If you take it up steadily then it will stutter and then drop off. But if you drive it hard then the engine seems to just die - well not quite but the revs drop to about 2500. Normal...

G'morning, The car's an S430. As per the title really, can't remember the last time I revved the car in neutral, but I've just tried it and it goes quite lumpy at 4000RPM almost like a crude rev limiter, and won't rev past 4500. Took the car for a sprint up the road and back and it's fine...

Had to change battery christmas eve (99.00 lovely) since then engine will not rev past 4000rpm. I also have defective lamp display but I cannot find any bulbs not working. Realy appreciate some help on this before its of to MB. Thanks
