Just changed the Oil in my diff - put 200ml more in than came out. Fair amount weeping from seals so removed and cleaned breather (100K miles on car). Needed a special tool to remove breather - old 11/16 spanner with a 30 degree bend just before the head :) this means you can get it in and...

Anyone ever changed/cleaned or removed one of these? I fancy changing the diff oil on mine before it gets really cold, and it seems like a fairly simple procedure, but I have concerns as to the accessibility of this component...

On the 6 cylinder petrol engine used from the mid 80s to the mid 90s - Certainly the lump in E300 W124s and 2.6 190Es, does the crankcase breather have its own filter before the air cleaner housing, or is it just that little tube going from the rocker cover to the air cleaner housing? Trying...

Hi all, The breather hose cover gasket(?) on my 98's W210 is leaking. Went to the dealer on Friday and they say I have to replace the whole rocker cover. Does anybody know that I can replace just this gasket and where I can get hold of it? Thanks, David.
