I've been after a reliable spring compressor for my W124 for a while. Any ideas if this would be suitable. Spring Compressor And don't worry if I buy it and it breaks and the spring takes my head off . . I won't hold you liable. ;)

Has anybody changed the a/c compressor and is it very expensive (duh - stoopid question!). Mine has noisy bearings. They are not desperately bad at the moment but I will need to think about replacing either the bearings (if that is possible) or the compressor later in the year.
