Hi All,
I have a 2001 E320CDi, Avantgarde Estate, approx 110k, FSH (not all MB).
Back in December I lost all drive going up the motorway, no warning lights/faults, turn off & back on again and it would move a bit then lose drive again (forward and reverse). Got recovered home, changed ALL...
I am selling the catalytic converter which was removed when I had a stainless steel exhaust fitted.

MB[u1] Viano 2,2 diesel 2005 converter lock up problem
I have had my car, Mercedes Benz Viano 2,2 diesel 2005, in a Mercedes Benz dealership garage for two months.
This is, when you put the car into DRIVE and REVERSE.
The torque converter then locks and the car goes forward without touching...

New to the site so please bear with me.........
Had my 2003 270CdI estate for a few years now but it looks as if I have the dreaded glycol problem - droning noise between 1400rpm & 2000rpm, juddering, hard gear changes etc etc.
Only noticed this over the past couple of weeks...
I know this topic has been discussed before, but never fully explained, but can someone tell me how to totally empty the torque converter of fluid, when doing an auto fluid change.
I have seen references to forcing it out, although I am not at all sure what this means.

Hey, I've just been looking at the price of catalytic converters for my 190E 2.0.
Cats Direct offer these two choices for my car:
Ceramic catalytic converter £89.14 + vat

Do they do the same job?
If they do, why would anyone go for metal...
I have noticed on a couple of times under load and when cold in a high gear low speed the car seems to kangaroo (very smoothly & just noticeable) if that makes sence.. any ideas?

Hi guys & girls,
Silly question but ive got a sneaking suspicion that my torque convertor is causing my w208 E240 2.6 V6 estate gearbox to slip, can the bands inside be tightened to stop this or do we have to look into having it changed?
Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions...
Hi all
Recently had my gbox oil and torque converter fluid changed.
The car before this had an occassional judder when cold. I was advised best course of action was to wait and see if the change cured this as the judder is indicative of a torque converter on the way out....
It only judders...

Hi
My year 2000 CLK 230 (W208) had a replacement catalytic converter at end of Jan this year (we just had the converter replaced, nothing else at the time). It's now already gone wrong again (rattling inside, broken ceramics I guess, same as original one). To get a replacement cat under...
petrol V6 E240, 85,000 miles and we have 207E fault code showing which is poor cat performance left bank.
Is there some magic way of rejuvenating a catalytic converter - some magic chemical, have a bonfire under it, poke it with a stick etc ?
Failing that are there any pattern/aftermarket cats...
