evaporator

Does anyone the exact location (and how to get to it to change it) for the Evaporator Temperature Sensor part no. A2208300772 on a W211 E320 cdi please? I really don't want to rip any more of the car apart looking unless I know I'm going in the right direction!

Hello. Anyone got a pic of where the drain is? I have looked on t'internet but can't find a w204 specific one. I believe it is in the middle of the car near the front? I think mine might be blocked, there's a musty smell. I changed the pollen filter in march but I'll check it.

Just had the Air Con tested on my w208 55 to be told there is a very small leak but not obvious in the engine bay, so the guy believes it is the evaporator behind the dash. What is involved to remove the evaporator to repair/replace? thanks Ian

I have an '02 CL500 and was advised by the service mgr that the evaporator can be a problem with these cars (S model uses the same part no.) and repair is around $8,000 to replace one due to dash removal. Can anyone who has owned these cars tell me if they have had their's go out? Just wondering...

Guys It seems my aircon evaporator finally needs to be changed. Has anyone completed this swap out? Would it be best to approach from the engine bay side or via the dashboard? Any advice appreciated, I am sure its a B#gger of a job. thanks Paul
