The self levelling on Nat's estate has sprung a leak in the pipe work. It is the long section of pipe running the length of the cars underbody. the pipe (the inner of the 2 that run the length) had corroded under the rubber grommet that holds the 2 pipes to the bodywork - I presume over time a...
Newbie saying hello.Recently had new hydraulic pipes fitted on self levelling by dealership to pass MOT.Noticed that the rear suspension was lower after work completed, returned car and watched mechanic adjusting level lever on rear torsion bar and bleeding to try and correct ,this did not have...
My rear suspension seems to have given up self levelling. The rod is attached securely between arb and valve so I'm guessing the valve is not doing its job. I would appreciate any wisdom others may have on this, and possible costs involved. It's not a huge issue for me as the car rarely gets...
Hello,
Hopefully a quick question.
Very nice as my self levelling suspension is, there will come a time when I need to replace a lot of the pipework and possibly the spheres.
Now, I rarely load the car up and usually only every carry my dog in the back, so the self levelling is rarely...
Hello.
I'm looking for information on the self levelling rear suspension on my W124 Estate. The previous owner informs me that he had is "pumped up" for caravan towing, which strikes me as a bit bizarre, anyhow - it's in the garage just now and the mechanic is struggling to work out ho it was...
Took daughter and boyfriend to airport this afternoon so that's 3 adults plus 3 (!) suitcases. On the way up had a warning to check dipped beam bulb R.
Having dropped them off, when I switched ignition on I had 1 malfunction show.
On the return journey had no warning message and on return...
Does anyone know how to adjust the self levelling ride height on a W210 estate?
Put shorter springs in the back and the self levelling brings the car back up to the normal height pre lowering, 2 inches above the tyre
Any help/diagrams will be appreciated
hi
i gather from other threads that the hissing sound in my w202 is probably due to a loose connection in the lights auto levelling system...especially as the light levelling is also currently not working....question: how do i trace the leak/ loose connection? where do i look for it? thanks

Hi,
My CL500 2000 model is in bodyshop having the rear arches rolled to help accomodate my 20" kahns wheels with 285/30/20 rubber etc.
My bodyshop guy has just informed me that when the car is sat on his level floor that the drivers side seems about 17-18mm lower than the nearside?
Is...
I have a 'clunking' sound coming from the rear passenger side of my 300CE, when I hit a bump on the road. The suspension seems to be working fine and it is not a loose item in the boot or the exhaust, which is tight.
Does anyone have any idea what this might be? I would appreciate the name of...
Hi Guys,
Looking for some help please. Apologies if this has been answered before, I've had a search around and found some useful stuff but none of it appears to be related exactly to the snag I have.

Can anybody tell me how the rear suspension on my '98 W210 adapts itself to differing loads? I'm assuming there's some kind of electric pump somewhere to pump up the shock-absorbers.
I'm asking this because when we went away over Easter & I hooked up the caravan the rear dropped over 1" but...
Hey everyone, I was just wondering whether it was only the estate models of the 124's that came with self levelling suspension. I have just been looking at the mercedes performance website and the only option for my car (87 260e) is listed on the section that includes self levelling? any info as...

After reading some old threads on this subject I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a basic adjustment to set the ride height. My '97 estate suspension seems to work ok but the back is maybe 1/2" lower than the front. I assume there is is some...
Hi All
When my S320 was at the Stealers recently going through its first MOT it was flagged that my near side headlight was out of alignment i.e. pointing skywards, and would, if not replaced, fail its MOT! Obviously my first question was "what you gona do about this then?” the short...
