How long for a spare key?

I bought a used E500 coupe from a main dealer in England. The car only had one key and the spare was to follow later. 107 days later I had a spare that worked. It was a technical issue. BP sorted out their technical issue in 103 days. The Chilean miners had their technical issue sorted in 69...

How long do you take to loosen up?

OK - this isn't yet another thread about published mpg versus actual mpg nor is it a complaint (at the risk of turning some people off!) Just a query really - Have a diesel C200 and was just wondering how long it usually takes for these cars to loosen up and Mercedes in general? I've done...

    Long lasting Pirellis?

I've read on here a few times that people reckon Pirelli tyres are soft and wear out quickly, also that the rears are shot after about 10-12,000 miles, but i have to say my Rosso's on my E280cdi Sport have so far lasted 26,000 miles and the rears still have a good 4-6k left on them. Strangely...

    Long time lurker!

Hi, joined up in August 2009 when we purchased our CLK320 Sport. Previous Mercedes include a 1990 300 CE and a 1987 CE - both regrettably sold. About to purchase a lovely R129 - fun car, whilst keeping my van and the CLK for everyday use. So as you can imagine - I have lots of R129 related...

Why are premiums going up? Here's the long answer.

http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/insurance-finance/86328-why-has-car-insurance-skyrocketed-4.html Following on from the above thread I felt those with time on their hands might like some more background to the issue of increasing motor insurance premiums. The article is written from the...

    First long trip mpg.

Drove down to South Wales last week and on the way saw 47mpg after the first 200 miles. After 1350 miles of mainly motorway with the rest urban trips the average ended up at just over 45 mpg. Very pleased as my day to day driving gives me just 35 mpg.:D

How long has your current exhaust lasted ?

:dk:You know when you have a nagging concern at the back of your mind that you wonder when the time could be up for your current exhaust - especially if its the original factory fit.The problem is as they tend to corrode from the inside, its hard to judge when its on its way out - generally when...
