Hi all,
I need to change the tensioner pulley on my '92 190E (2.0) but unfortunately the hex head bolt appears to be slightly rounded off, so the only way I can see of removing the pulley is to take off the whole assembly and order a new bolt from Mercedes.
My Haynes manual doesn't cover this...
Hi guys, I’m new here and I was hoping that you could give me a couple of ideas on how to increase or restore the power of my ‘91 w124 m102 engine. First of all I am asking you because I didn’t manage to find any useful information in my domestic Mercedes-Benz forum (I’m not from the UK), so it...

Anyone know how to remove the fan from a M102 W123 230E UK spec? Needed to access the water pump which is leaking badly from the bottom of the casing.
The dimples are just that - moulded depressions in the fan. The rusty looking studs are circular - not allen screw - with nothing at the bottom...
Hi guys,
I've ended up buying a Brabus engine that I found locally and I'm currently in the middle of cleaning up the engine and preparing it for the swap. I purchased a sports camshaft that was supposed to bump up some power out of my 8V M102 motor. The sports camshaft is made by Albert, an...
Hi Gang,
Started stripping the 190E yesterday (M102 1.8 8v) in order to replace the head gasket. All going fairly smoothly so far, just need to remove a last few nuts/bolts from the inlet side and take out the chain tensioner/cam etc.
I haven't touched the pin for the timing chain guide...
I was looking into getting another W124, the one i have been looking at has the M111 1998L 4V Engine in it.
Is this a better engine to have in the W124?
Not wanting to frequent establishments such as Drons***ds etc I am looking for a 102 engine for a 190E. Not necessarily a full engine as the top end I have is 100%. So anyone got one laying about doing nothing that they would like to be shot of.
As per title.
In a bit of a quandry. I've got a late 85 123 230e with lots of miles - 338k, to be precise.
Lifters are noisy and not sure if it's economical to have the head off to get them sorted......
Any other way (oil flush - using different grade of oil) to lessen the tapping...

Hi,
I have a 1991 190E with the M102 2.0 engine (same engine used in W124) and I have a problem with the idle and starting.
1) Starting from cold can take a lot of churning before the engine fires
2) Whether its cold or hot, once the car has started and is being driven, when it comes to...
