On way back home at zero dark thirty this morning, driving along a B road. We enter a 40mph zone, hilly bit with a couple of blind bends.
So I am going uphill round a right hand bend to be greeted by the sight of an Audi A6 estate coming in opposite direction way, way too fast, already lost...
Had a close one yesterday .
I was on the A540 just outside Chester , busy-ish A road , not particularly wide with a narrow grass verge and a stone wall on my side , road restricted to 50 mph with lots of signs about accident statistics and fatalities which have taken place .
A car coming...
First of all let me say Hello from cold Cardiff and thanks for having me and apologies if this has been brought up before somewhere else on the forum.
Back in January I bought my Mercedes Elegance C240 (W202) on a "W" Reg (2000). I then had a Romano multi-injection LPG system put on it. Ran...
Well, after 2 years nearly I have decided to sell my S211 E320cdi Avantgarde Estate.
I bought it with 60 odd thousand on it while it was three and half years old, it felt extremely solid and in great condition for the age.
The only issues I have had on it is a sort of brake or suspension...

I imagine a few words were...
Under warranty MB Central are replacing the load cover motor on my car.
They are also fixing a mysterious oil leak in the timing chain area after they checked the timing marks, under instruction from Milton Keynes, in an attempt to find the strange idle vibration that has them baffled.
It went...

sometimes it takes 3 or 4 presses of the key to either unlock or lock the car with the IR remote, do you need to be fairly acurate where you point the key or is it an indication that the batteries are getting low?
If I hold the button down on the key I can see the red light come on
After owning my first MB for a week now I found one thing that is missing that I kind of took for granted.
My previous car (11yr old Golf TDI GT) had a very nice radio feature for traffic reports which would record the reports as they are played. If you missed on due to distractions of...
Hi All, I'm new to the site and new to Merc ownership, so please bear with me if this has been asked before! I have a '97 E320 (petrol), that when I accelerate hard has a strong miss fire almost as if the rev limiter kicks in .
Any ideas as to what it might be?? Other than that it's a...
Hello all fellow Mercedes enthusiasts
I would love to know what you all miss about Mercedes from back in the days ? To get us started 2 things that I miss are the weird & wonderful colours that new owners used to order their Mercedes in. Today all Mercs are sadly either silver or black but...

So, whilst the C63 wasn't in the firing line, this meant my long suffering...
Hi,
I have bought a '95 C280 for weekday use and kept the S500 Coupe for weekends.
On startup the car is absolutely perfect with no miss - this develops once warm.
If I rive her about 50 miles the miss eventually goes and only reappears if the car is left parked up for several days.
I am...
