My rear parktronic sensors are not working on my W164 ML 280 CDI. I have had the problem traced to the right hand side rear sensor. Has anybody changed one and if so do you need to drop the bumper off the car to do it ???? Merc are quoting £50 for a new one.

Up until recently, Parktronic was working fine. Suddenly the rear ones have stopped altogether. When I put the car in reverse, all I get is two yellow lights as normal, then they go out and I get 4 red lights, no sounder either. The fronts appear to be ok. I have cleaned the sensors to no avail...
