I have just bought a CLK320 (W208) and it has 18" alloys fitted with 225/40 tyres. Do I inflate to the PSI mercedes reccomend in the hand book? :dk:
Cheers
Sorry, I have used the search button and got the answer!

Can anyone tell me if fitting different sized wheels to the original manufacture ones affects the tyre pressure guide in the fuel filler cap?I have staggered 19"amg's(same as cls55/63amg)on my cls500,if not should i use the higher psi as on the inside of the fuel filler cap?:dk:
Hi, I am new to this site and wanted to know if anyone can advise what the manufacturers rating is for tyre pressures for the original AMG 18" monoblocks on my E55..?? (Apologies if this has already been covered, did try searching posts and couldn't see anything)
I have tried looking in the...
A recent thread on another forum (A2OC) made me think:
Why are we told to test tyre pressures when cold and adjust accordingly, but told to check engine oil level when warm? Is this not the same theory but in reverse?
My point being, this morning it was ~0C. If I adjusted my tyres to 30psi...
So I know the right pressure for my tyres, but when do you check them?
With this cold weather they change in temperature and hence pressure within 10 miles. so I have set them at 36/39 when warm, which then drops to 34/37 when cold, is this the right way:confused:
Hi Everyone
Can anyone advise, if Tyre pressures should be changed for winter temperatures
i usually put 33 in the front tyres and 41 in the back tyres
I hope this isnt a stupid question :bannana:
Can anyone help,my clk 320 ( w208) i bought recently came with brand new 18" alloys & low profile 225 tyres, although there is a normal & fully loaded tyre guide inside the fuel flap these are for the original 17" tyres so can anyone help with the correct pressures for the new ones?
Had mine set at 35psi all round to start off with...felt ok,asked my local merc dealer what they should be but they didnt have a clue dispite 19 inch wheels being a factory option?!. very helpfull
An American merc forum said 40 rear and 38 front which feels a tad too high + I seam...
Having just switched from 18 to 20 inch wheels, I am not sure which pressures to inflate to - should I continue to use the ones printed on my fuel cap or is there somewhere I can look to find what the correct pressures should be?
They are 20 inch wheels with 265/45/20 tyres instead of the...
Checked the manual and there is no information regarding what should be used whan towing a trailer. Should I use the "fully laden" pressures or "normal" pressures? There will only be 2 of us in the car and no luggage
My 1984 280SL is fitted with non-standard 15" wheels and 205/65/15 Pirelli P6000 tyres. I would be grateful for any feedback re the sort of tyre pressures others have found best. NM
Recently got a 1990 R129 500SL. Noticed the tyres are low.
What would be an ideal tyre pressure (psi) to set them at :)
They look quite low, and with it being a heavy old car, im not entirely sure what they should be at!!! :(
It is fitted with the original merc wheels and P6000...
Just about to pump up my new tyres on the new set of amg alloys i have, and wondered if anyone could tell me the likely pressures they need to be at?
The measurements are: 265/35/18 rear, 225/40/18 front.
Thanks.
Rob.
Hi guys, new here having just acquired a 2002-02 320d with Dunlop 205/55 ZR16 91W's on the front and 205/55 R16 91W's on the back. Anyone know what the tyre pressures are? I think 26psi front and 32psi rear, they're not given in the hand book. Thanks in advance.
Phil.
S320CDI 2001 I have now fitted 19in wheels and would like to know what tyre pressures I should usd for normal loads. Should it be more or less that the standard fit
