Hi, I have a W208 (CLK 230K) and I would like to know the correct tyre pressures that I should be running.
Behind the fuel flap there are the pressures for the standard wheels for the car, but I have an AMG staggered 17" wheel set running, 245/40 on the rear, 225/45's on the front.
I have...
I've had a look in my owners manual but all it says that the recommended tyre pressres are in the fuel filler cap on a sticker, but i don't have any sticker inside my fuel filler cap.
Can someone let me know what their says or offer me some advice on normal driving pressures and then when...
Hi
I picked my car up Thursday, having had two new Goodyear Assymetrics fitted to the front. On the way home the tyre pressure warning light came on (so thanks to ALfie - it works :D ).
Getting home I checked the pressures and the fronts were 30.5 rears 32. Obviously I needed to reset the...
I have changed to 17inch alloys on my 2001 c-class. They are 225/45/17, what is the correct tyre pressure?
Are the pressures the same as the ones listed on the inside of the fuel lid?

MB recommend 29PSI all round for my W211 2005 220cdi. I found the above that recommends a bit more.
Until today I haven't yet checked/inflated them and to my horror they were showing 33psi and...
Hi to everyone. Recently replaced my 205/16/55 Michelins with 225/16/50 F1s. What pressures should i use? At the moment , i'm using the pressures listed on the fuel filler door.
Greetings, All. First-post newbie here, so please be gentle.
On Friday I picked up a magnificent 500SE - a near-clone of our existing 420SE - for an embarrassingly low price, and I'm still in a haze of delight. I'm hoping the two will be a breeding pair and we'll soon have lots of little...
I have a 96 SL500, with R230 AMG type IIIs fitted. They have 245/40R18 tyres at the front and 275/35R18s at the back. Does anyone know what tyre pressures I should have in these?
Thanks
Hi I have just recently purchased some AMG IV's 18" for my CLK CAB. Not too sure on the tyre pressures.
Please don't say look in the filler cap "don't do german too well" and it does not say anything about different tyre sizes. Does one size fit all......??
Please advice...:confused...
 Hi everyone
I have a 2001 CLK320 Avantgarde fitted with AMG alloys wheels,
7.5Jx17 H2 ET37 Front
8.5Jx17 H2 ET3O Rear
Tyres are:
Goodyear Eagle F1,225/45ZR17 Front
Goodyear Eagle F1,245/40ZR17 Rear
Can anyone tell me what tyre pressure i should have in them?
Thanks.
I've just paid the price for not checking the pressures on my tyres.
They are only a "30" profile, and the rears, unknown to me, have obviously been running under pressure. This resulted in yesterday's blowout on the Paris autoroute.
The surviving rear tyre was at 20 psi and was already...
The attached shows the actual filler cap tyre pressures as you can see its misleading. The top line is supposed to be 17" and bottom line 18" so I am right 32 front 35 rear.
gary
Have just had my alloys replaced under warranty and can't seem to find the tyre pressures in the handbook - they are Goodyear 195 65 R15. Any idea what they should be for normal loads?
I thought that the air pumps at petrol stations were not that accurate plus you could not check the pressures cold ..
So, I bought an all singing, all dancing, Michelin pump/gauge/light high power compressor thing. Very impressive to look at and seemed very well made. So I bought the...
C270 CDI. Fronts 225/45/R17, Rear 245/40/R17. Currently they are set to 28.5 psi at back and 30.5 psi at front. Anyone know what min/max figures are ? I've looked everywhere for info to no avail.
Yes, I know its been flogged to death before but I think this may be a bit different. The ingredients are as follows. I've just adopted, or rather modified, my setup to an offset one as in, 7.5J 225/45.17" front and 8.5j 245/40.17" rear. The car only ever has me or me plus another single...
hi chaps,
I'm running 17inch wheels 225/45 profile tyres on a normal 230ce , anone got any idea of the correct tyre pressures for front and rear ? usually with just me in it, occasionally the girlfriend but no one ever rides in the back !!!
My tyres (245/55) were originally inflated to 32/32 (F/R) on delivery. Checked on the reference sticker in the fuel flap and this seems to be the setting for > 130MPH + 5 adults with luggage.
The correct setting for < 130MPH + 3 adults is 29/30 (F/R). Can anyone else with a similar setup...
I've got 235/40ZR18's on my W210.
I've also got the Smartire tyre pressure monitoring system installed which I would recommend to anyone not least for never having to get dirty fingers again!
Anyway, in my filler cap the recommended pressures are 29psi for the fronts and 32psi for the...
