My Crucial v4 256GB SATA is reporting errors after only 11 months. So I'd like to replace it with something with proven reliability. Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement or point me to a benchmark report?
Thanks
Hi All,
I am considering getting a convertible mercedes. Not too worried about fuel economy, just want the most reliable convertible made by Mercedes. But without spending a lot of money.
Which years provided the most reliable SLs?
Thank you for any thoughts

Looking at replacing my 2 front tyres (245/40/18 97Y).
Currently they are Potenza RE050 which are rated as E for fuel, C for wet and 74db.
Was looking online and it really has opened up a can of worms for me. These tyres are about £160 each. There are all sorts of brands with wildly...
Just following on from the thread discussion on the refinement pros & cons of diesel versus petrol.
The diesel engines appear to be very sophisicated to me but perhaps petrol are equally so these days. My question is which is the most reliable.
There was a time when a diesel would run well for...
I've been thinking about reliability lately, and how my cherished CLS has got off to such a poor start, mainly due to the engine and I guess various complexities.
I've figured now I have the Hybrid for everyday use, I don't need to stick with diesel for the "fun" car, but I don't want a...
Dear all,
Would be very grateful if some one can help to have quickly a reliable repair/service Merc garage in the Bromley area (different than Bromley Merc dealer). Best
Are there any common faults with the air suspension as fitted standard on the E500? Is it more/less reliable than the hydro-pneumatic fitted to the R230? How expensive is it to maintain/repair?
I have searched the forum and the internet and have read about problems with the cam chain, or balance shaft (I think) and I know that if you dig deep enough you can find horror stories about all makes, but I would like to hear from people who know and do not have an axe to grind about how...
Like a lot of people this weekend I had a bump in the snow.
Can anyone recommend a good reasonably priced body shop in the Bradford or surrounding areas?
Thanks in advance
I am fed up with paying top price for second rate service at Mercedes Benz, can anyone recommend an honest Mercedes freindly garage in NW London? (I was going to take it to Steiners but saw a not very flattering thread about them).

Is it me or does someone else feel that a reliable car doesn't really need that many new parts?

Hi everyone, need a bit of advice - I own a 2002 skl320 which has a few small problems (broken roof switch, smashed wing mirror, couple of other minor issues). I'm looking for a decent place in London that can sort these things out for me without either ripping me off or charging a crazy amount...
Been having this discussion with a friend of mine who firmly believes petrol engines are more reliable with basically less to go wrong (swirl flaps, DPF, etc etc) and therefore can run to higher, less troublesome mileages - I believe the other way, that diesels are hardier.... Am I right or...
Our MB got lost over the weekend. After a trip to the garage for wheel bearings it never returned - at least in part as the wrong bearings were supplied initially.
Chased it down today, to find that the mechanic had discovered yesterday that one of the injectors was blown with a fair amount...
I'll be getting a CLK in the the next few months, around 2005 year.Which would be the most reliable(i.e.fault free)model to get?Any particular models to avoid?
