reset

I filled up my 230TE yesterday (oh the pain!) and I reset the trip meter on the dash. All zeros aligned as normal and I set off. It has now started to make a clicking sound. The main odometer works as do all the other dials, but the trip meter doesn't advance and makes a very annoying click...

Does anyone know the sequence..something about holding 2 buttons down and wait for it to do whatever it does to reset and normalise itself.. I have the THERMATIC a/c..not sure if the fan speed to be set at any number or the direction..HELP!!

Hi all!! New to forum, just purchased a used R230 SL 350 Today. The car was serviced at an independent dealer who did not know how to reset the service light, so just wondering if I can do this myself without the aid of diagnostics tool.
