I need the old style m103 rocker arms as shown here. The surface which contacts the cam is slightly longer than the newer version and this surface is not welded on as the newer surface is. I need 12 of them with unmarked cam contact surfaces for my reprofiled cam. Mercedes do not sell this part...
My camshaft has some wear, I have established that Brabus reprofiled the original M103 camshaft for more lift. My camshaft has the mercedes stamp followed by "103" and "22" below that, on the other side "AE2". My chassis number tells me that my camshaft is of the later, chilled cast iron type...
I've just had my rocker covers polished. I originally had them painted red, but after a few engine niggles and removal of them on on numerous occasions, the red paint looked like its had been through the wars!
I decided to have them polished, i previously did the air filter assembly myself...
Mate of mine did this for me with my rocker cover:
Stripped off the old paint, powder coated it, and then cut back and polished all the detailing! Looks good i reckon :cool:

The engine bay on my car is fairly tidy, given the cars age of 13 years. However, the silver "Mercedes-Benz" lettering on the rocker cover looks like crap, and I am thinking about taking it off and restoring the lettering to the original silver on black colour.
