Went out to change a track rod end on my w202 today. Luckily the bolt came off easily, but after hours of hitting the ball joint with a seperator, club hammer, pry bar and copious amounts of WD40 I couldn't get the bloody thing off and eventually had to give up due to darkness.

My W203 has only done 84,000 miles yet all of the above have gone. First on the offside and looks like now on the drivers.
Is this normal or another example of Mercedes poor build quality?
I know a split steering gaiter is but what about the tie rod end rubber boot on the ball joint ? Can't find it mentioned in the regulations...

I have a brand new Right Hand Trackrod for a 190E, bought in error. I also have an outer Trackrod end for the right hand side too. Both genuine Mb parts. Anyone interested before I Ebay them?
