Has anyone on here successfully used snow-chains on a W212 E250 CDI Sport on 18 inch rims? According to the manual they are 'not permitted' on the 265/35 R18 (9.0 J x 18) fitted as standard on the sport (the 245/45 R18 - 8.5J x 18 are fine)
However, all of the snow-chain website sell chains...

Hi everyone, I have a '53 plate clk270cdi. I discovered last week that it has the snow tyre limit switched on. I checked the owners manual - 'select from vehicle menu', great I think until I look for it, no sign at all ! I've looked at all the menu's and nothing there, I've scoured every forum...
Apparently Aldi are doing an offer starting on the 25th - a pair of snow chains for £20.
Pretty good deal if you're planning on heading to the Alps for winter.

What car shampoo do you guys put in with your snowfoam?? I've got some basic halfords shampoo that I put in with sf last time but it almost seems to cancel out some of the depth to the foam. When I then tried without the shampoo it seemed better.
I have these left over now I have sold the 300d.
There are 4, yet at the moment the 4th is in the boot of the car (my friends own it now, locally) acting as a spare wheel in the boot.It would be great if a prospective buyer could offer a p/x with a standard spare wheel (steel 15"), but not...

I just took a look at Bassboys thread on his CLS, this is the first time I have seen Snowfoam in action so to speak.....seen plenty of pictures of cars covered in the stuff and then seen them all clean and polished.....but Bassboys shows it covered in Snowfoam, then rinsed off and it looks all...

Hi
Recently traded my ML for a C Class Estate & driving in the snow was never really a problem. However, after waking up to a few inches of snow & taking the C Class out its become apparent that my new car is useless in the snow. Any good tips on improving grip?
Cheers
