Hi, Easy question, should the filler neck of the windscreen washer bottle have a gauze type filter fitted? Other cars I have owned have had this feature seated in a removable insert , but my R129 doesn't, seems odd. Regards Paul

The car came to a stop few weeks ago, fuel starvation, here is what was in the tank, this car, to my knowledge, was only run on diesel for 120,000 milres. This is a wee spooky, not for the fainted heart :p

Tank strainer blocking - can it happen not just on low fuel?:confused: I've had it block once about a week ago on low fuel about a gallon left, question is can it block with more fuel than this say a quarter of a tank? I don't have time at the mo. to sort it out and want to do it properly...

hi i hear there is a fuel strainer in/near the fuel tank on a W124..... can anyone let me know where this is and how to remove it? has the tank got to come out/fuel drained? dont have a huge issue with it, but if its easy to take out and clean/replace then its worth doing IMHO...
