I find myself in that void - I have sold the C230k Wagon and am car-less (indeed car-free...).

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it is to find a car actually for sale that fits these criteria;

1. Interesting (to me)
2. £1k (there is flexibility here)
3. 12 months MOT

I have been musing a few 190Es, Volvo 240 Estates, Mk1 MR2s etc.

Go here and enter £500 in the minimum price box to filter out all the adverts at the front. Put in your postcode, the distance you are prepared to travel and £1000 in the maximum price box.

I did it for me (TW postcode) and found an Audi 80 and 100, a Honda Aerodeck, a BMW320i and a Jag Sovreign for £500. There is a nice '82 280SE withh 96k on the clock for your grand together with a '92 190E 2.0 for the same price.

Having said Volvo 240, Toyota MR2 etc, today I bought an end-of-the-line W201 2.0LE.

Paid a little over the £1k budget, but am pleased as punch with a car that has been properly looked after (6k oil changes).

I should make a public appology for even condsidering another marque.

Excellent choice. I still look back on my 190E as one of the most satisfying cars I ever owned.

What colour is it? What options does it have? Taken any pictures yet? :)

A 190E was my first Merc many years ago, and having looked at a W123 (always wanted one) came to the conclusion that if I bought one in the condition I would want, I would then be loath to use it regularly :crazy:

Still like a W124, but the last W201 ticked the boxes - except that they appear to have forgotten to paint this one, its a sort of grey colour, a metallic, s i l v e r :D

Commiserations mate. I know a few good paint sprayers who can put a color over your primer :D :devil:
 
I got a 2006 SAAB 95 estate HOT version for £250

Car (with blown engine) £0
Engine and fitting =£250

Oh and £80 remap to 300BHP and lots more torques :D

Welcome to the forum, however, opening up an 11 year old thread and adding "nice Post" is not much good for man nor beast !!
What "we", as in forum members, would all be interested in, is pictures of your Camaro, and tell us about it, and what other vehicles you have, and have owned.
Just open up a new thread in General Discussion and type away.
