£5000 for a damaged door....

I bet they cost over 10k new!
In the ad it said 22.8K. But if you can afford a McLaren would you bother about saving a few bob on a replacement door? I merely ask not being anywhere near able to afford one.

The ad says there are only two available at the factory!

RARE! ;)

EDIT: Maybe I could buy a whole SLR off ebay if I wait for the bits to appear one at a time! :D

At £5K for a door it might work out more expensive than getting a new one. Imagine what an engine might go for...

Actually the engine might cost less than you imagine.

I bet the mostly-carbon body/floorpan/chassis monocoque moulding costs more than anything else in the car! Keep your eyes peeled for one on ebay ;)

I thought the same. Looks like a Brabus to me, given the double spots? Maybe...

I wonder how much cotton wool it would take to wrap that beast up ....

Could you get them under the trade description act if it hadn't in fact been wrapped in cotton wool ....

Wouldn't cotton wool encourage rust if it got damp ?
