02 320CDI How Much for New EGR Valve?

Does anyone have any Idea of the cost of a new EGR valve for my 02 320CDI (PART & FITTING COST would be really helpful)

My MB dealer has offered me "a good deal, a really good deal" if I need to replace this part.

This part of my ongoing quest to get the car running efficiently and to stop producing awfully smelly smoke (cost thousands up to now)

Is the dealer finally taking pity on me?

I'll know that when I find out the true cost of the valve and installation

Cheers maddog, I hope I'm coming to the and of this now....

Thanks to you guys on the forum I am now more clued up when talking to the dealer and may actually have them on the back foot (if that's possible).

I had them re-flash, thorough diagnosis and asked if cat was possibly blocked today and also said to check EGR valve today.

They asked me who told me about those things? I didn't answer

I am leaving my request for a refund for the surcharge on the injectors until I get the car spot on - just in case they add the refund back on to future works
