116 in rare colo(u)r and good shape ex US

Takes me right back to my teens!

We had a W116 and later a W123 in Caledonia green 867, a shade lighter than reed.

Well, I've exceeded the last non-reserve by a few hundred. I might have another few when I've had less few if anyone can volunteer to foster it for me for a month or so.

In fact, I've been meaning to broach my Foster-Car idea for a while if any one is prepared to listen?

Cheers,

Paul

Looks to be in great condition.

The colour? There's usually a reason a colour is rare ;)

Am I the only one who has no idea what this means? :D

Ah, Sorry!
There should be a toxi-ometer on laptops which can be pre-set to measure alcohol content in the vicinity.
The bidometer setting would be linked to an abay account and prevent bid's over a certain amount, pre-set during a lucid moment in the mornings, and a prose-ometer dial which would prevent posting senseless messages!

What I meant was that it had been advertised previously and failed to make the reserve which I bid beyond by 200 quid. At that stage - fortunately - a bidding hand brake self-applied, but didn't prevent me from thinking that when I'd had less few to drink I might have a few more hundred on the car if anyone would take care of it for me because I'm not back in UK until late May.
My reference to Foster Car(e) was a thought I'd a while ago which would help folk that had space and time to perhaps tinker, but couldn't adopt, by putting them in touch with people who simply couldn't look after all their charges at the moment due to circumstances - or failed hand brake settings.

Cheers,

Paul

Paul - I'd seen that car before, lovely thing. I would expect by the time shipping is done you won't be far away from May, but I'd happily look after it for you.

P m'd, thanks!

Reserve is 2200, front and rear screen rubbers are US in more ways than one, jacking points all perfect, roof paint problem is almost a 12 inch diameter circle. Includes a Becker. Prompt responses from vendor.

The rubbers are about 120 euros in Germany (so £100 ish delivered), fitting would be the expensive bit.

Forgot to mention, all window rubbers as well.
I've got front and rear to fit to my 300SD. I can't find anyone in Belgium or UK to guarantee that they won't fracture the glass. Looks like a trip to The Fatherland - proper silver lining!

Seen that one advertised a few times. You are a brave man sir! Tremendous road presence.

In truth I thought the "color" was...different. You're probably best of without.Discretion is the better part of valour...

Probably imported, fettled, (of what's known to be needed to be sorted), and on the road in UK for between 4 and 4.5 GBP. That buys a lot of Euro's these day's if an LHD will fit the bill.
Assuming it stops at 2200, that is!
