123 mirror for 107

Hi!

123's side mirrors look similar (identical) with 107's mirrors. Can 123's side mirrors be used on R107 (SLC)? My SLC got vandalised and mirror on driver's side now only "glued" to the car (right side drive). I found a 123 mirror and would like to replace the broken one. Any experience?

i dont think so but cannot be sure... the R107 mirrors are thinner than the W123 ones..
