124 coupe amg ??

Hi guys,

im new to the MB world let alone the AMG editions.

I was looking into buying this 124 coupe AMG ... I asked the guy to verify what engine size the car was as he has it advertised as a 3.0 litre but nowhere on the internet can i find that a 3.0 amg exists.. I told him about this and he claimed its a limited edition.. Could this be true? or should i just steer away from this guy ? Any help will be much appreciated . Thanks

How old is the car? Prior to the official 124 E36 AMG models of which there are very few in the UK AMG would do specials on just about anything. Some had highly modified engines and others just bits of body kit and trim. Even the VIN is not always helpful as most of the early ones were converted after leaving the factory.

not sure about the year. but as i said before i could find no information whatsoever that a 3.0 AMG exists.. the normal 3.0 coupe yes but no AMG .. i guess its just kitted up as an AMG and hes trying to sell it as such

As you already say,the 3l it`s not an AMG car.Smallest engine on a 124 by AMG was 3.2 which was a bored m103
