124 coupe lowering

hi guys as the title says i want to lower my 124

but i want to put 18's on

i have bought some amg replica 18's however it seems to catch, but ive seen people with 18s on there 124 and they seem not have to have any problems

also lowering springs whats the best drop for them? and where do i get them from?

It's all about the offset and rolling your arches!! There are plenty of posts on here that will help you if you do a quick search.

I fitted a Bilstein B12 lowering kit. I'm not sure if they're still available but it consists, I think, of H&R springs and B8 dampers.

GET THE RIGHT SPRINGS. There's a 'points' system that relates your vehicle spec. (basically, the weight on each axle) to the required springs. Bilstein, H&R, Eibach and Mercedes know about this. Many don't seem to but it's worth getting right.

Sorry to be a downer but, with the present state of the roads, I think one of the best wheel options is 15" with nice high profile tyres. But if you're super cool and wealthy, get genuine AMGs. My choice would be 17".

My brother had to spend £500 on a new Volvo wheel after a pothole trashed his 18" alloy.

my 220 has 17 inch mono block amg's on it and I have to say it looks right in my humble opinion

I have those on my estate. To me it looks right with the standard ride height. The 17s seem to make litle or no difference to the ride comfort compared to the 15s I had before.

and having it the way i want it 100% rather than being 50/ 50 about it

but the 17s do look nice
