129 500 Sl Steering Wheel

I Gotta A 1992 500 Sl And I Wanna Change The Steering Wheel To A Mercedes One That Is Small And Fatter. I Do Not Have An Airbag Model, However I Have Heard The Slk Steering Wheels Fit Onto The 129 Sl Cars.

The 1992 R129 has an oldstyle spline and in order to fit an SLK steering wheel - you need to modify an oldstyle contactring (for horn and possibly airbag) into the SLK steering wheel...out of all contactrings MB has used in the past - I have only found one that was suiteable for this retrofit...here is a picture of a SLK steering wheel in my own 1990 300SL24

I have another 10-15 of these wheels (all charcoal - no mushroom), most with airbag - all new...

I have that wheel in my SL, mushroom interior but the wheel is a light chocolate colour colour to match the dashboard. can take a picture ifyou want
