190 Ignition Timing Settings

Can anyone out there help me?

I am after the timing settings for my 1988 2.0ltr Manual - 190 mercedes, I have a Stromberg Carb and I have a TSZ Ignition system and I am running normal unleaded fuel.

Also does anyone know the correct idle speed for this model?

Hi and welcome. Idle speed should be between 700 - 800 rpm. My 200T has the same engine and mine is set at 750.

assuming this is engine code 102.924:-
without vacuum connected, 32 degrees BTDC @ 4500 rpm
advance check- 13 degrees @ 800
14 - 18 deg @ 1500
24-28 deg @ 3000
