190e sun roof

Sometimes when i wash my car or when it rains, some water pours through on to the passenger seat ( glad it isnt my seat, carnt say that my girlfriend is to happy tho as she gets soaked)
Do you think the rubber sill needs changing or is there somthing else i should look at.

Funny you should post this as my 260E has the same problem. I have tightened up all the screws on the sun roof, cleaned out the drain ways with compressed air, greases everything that moves and it still leaks. I am round to thinking now that either the seal on the lid needs renewing or the seal that actually is between the sun roof mech and the body needs renewing. Hope not as it would mean taking out the sun roof Be that the case it can leak I just dont fancy mucking about with the dreaded sun roof mechanism after having it out.

I do what you have done and see what happens as you said i hope it is just the seal.
