1973 W114 Wiper

Hello All,

I have just bought a W114 280CE and I am struggling to find wiper blades for it, I was driving it back home after picking it up this morning and practically couldn't see out of it due to the rain.

The chrome arms are fine, but would need replacement rubber. Would appreciate any help, also other than Bosch, who else makes them?

Have you tried a dealer? They're usually pretty competitive for consumables like that.

definatly get one of these (if they indeed fit?) seller is very quick - iv'e bought a few now from here and they arrive within 2 days. this was for my W124 however

just did a quick seach for w114 in his shop - nothing

so you may have to email the seller to get the right size maybe.....? Dealer maybe a better bet then - often quite cheap compared to Halfords etc

My local motor factor still has rubber insert type blades to slide into old style wipers and cut to length, most decent shops should still do them, they are not rare or expensive yet.

Items 110/112 gives you the part numbers, I got a feeling they are the same for a w115......

I think your only bet is Mercedes themselves, just tell them your Chassis number and hopefully they will supply the correct part.

They are both the same Driver and Passenger and they are 16" or 410mm.

Think i paid about 4 quid for the last ones i bought, i get a trade discount though, should still be under a tenner.

Oddly enough you can only get the wiper rubbers from MB now.

The reason I was asking was becuase the only ones I saw on Ebay are from Germany, expensive shipping and cost upwards of 40 pounds. All I wanted as most of you suggested is he rubber, the wiper on mine looks fantastic, just the rubber has split.

Will try local garages or from Merc.

Halfords do the Rubber inserts for about 4 quid......

Went to Halfords the other day asked them for it and they don't have it? Not sure whether it is that Halfords or not, well anyway I got some from internet, the webstie you recommend, hopefully arrive soon.

Angus, all I can do is apologise, maybe it was just that particular Halfords, but as long as I can remember they have done them, usually from about 12" right up to about 24". But I have to say that I haven't been in a Halfords for some time now.

Oh no Bill, no need to apologise at all. Its fine, I was in Halfords picking up other things anyway.
