Hello
New to the forum. I have a sl500 that has been siting for about 2 years, I have started it now and again and has always been a little... shall we say woman like! When it was on the road it had a problem of cutting out and would take maybe 5 - 6 mins to start again. I have replaced dizzy caps, crank sensor, ht leads and now both coil packs. I had an auto electrician out today that found that the coils were not getting swiched i.e had 12 volts going in but nothing happening. he thinks that the ignition control unit may be the problem but does not know how to test it. He is a Bosch guy so will phone the tech dept tomorrow but wondered if any body on hear can help? Are they easy to get hold of and if so, what sort of cost would I be looking at? Happy to have a used on for know to make sure that it cures the problem. Are there any more thoughts on this problem?
Thanks for taking the time to read.
