No one will give way to a Merc in Bristol they are road savages  (far worse than London in my opinion) But on the subject of parking the car, where car parks display signs refusing to accept liability for damage to your car, I take as many spaces as I need to assure that my car is safe from damage although I never take disabled or parent spaces. Only fair I feel :D

me too</aol>

I usually just take two spaces, with the white line running through the middle of the car - and away from trolly parks, and generally a bit further away from the entrance if its busy.. Even so I still have a few dings...

Could those 'dings' be caused by people perhaps disagreeing with your style of parking?

I understand completely what you are saying...... You park well away from the majority of vehicles so hopefully taking up two spaces will not be inconvienancing anyone, but it also brings a lot of attention to your very nice car.

Sort of damned if you do, damned if you don't situation, and I cannot see an easy alternative. Ooops yes I can  Shop on-line and avoid the supermarket car parks.

Good morning to all,
John

:) Hopefully it will be a good game. I see you have been very busy, since your last race

***MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi was presented with his title-winning YZR-M1 machine in a memorable trip to Yamaha’s head office in Iwata, Japan, on Friday***

Morning :)

Who dictates the style in the first place? a company that wants as many punters in the door at any one time, but has no regard for the property of the customers (hence the signs)....
It always bothers my other half when she sees people abusing spaces set aside for parents and baby or disabled people, but at the end of the day the shops should take note of this and make all spaces the same size that way no one would be taking up double spaces :)

Ever wonder why, when you go to the top of a carpark and there are 1-200 car spaces free there are 20 cars in a row ??? Its funny but if you are the first car on the floor, and you park diagonally accross three bays people stay away from you :D

Morning Peter :)
I suppose we see this a lot on our beaches. ;) Lay your towel down in a nice free area and within minutes........

Nice speaking to you,
John

We went to see Rossi in his first 125 British gp at Donnington(he crashed) and have seen him a few times at the British anf French Gp's.A god!! Without doubt the best motorcycle racer ever.Forget Hailwood,Doohan etc this man would have won in whichever generation he had raced in.I find it hard that people in this country are dertermined to always look at the past to find the "best ever".What has Schumacher got to do to prove he is the best ever? Most poles ,race wins ,points etc and people will still quote Prost ,Senna etc.If he died tomorrow he would be rated much more than he is at the moment.
