Hi all,
Bought a vito as above today, needs a bit of work but nothing I cant do.
However.... It was all going ok but now once it's running, it won't turn off, I have to stall it.
Any ideas?

I believe you have a ignition fault. Im reckon its a ignition swithch or possible broken wire.
Rare issue though.

Assuming it's not a Cdi, check the stop on top of the engine.

A 1998 vito 108 will bea 601 engine (a non cdi engine)

Yes, non cdi.

Emailed the guy I bought it off and he's said that it has happened before and its due to a vacuum leak in the circuit. Does this sound right?

Forgive my ignorance but how do I locate vacuum pipes, don't know what they look like or the "Stop".

I'm an Alfa V6 man through and through and this is my first forage into German diesels!

There is a shut off valve on the back of the pump. They perish through and cause this issue.

The valve looks like a bullet and has a rubber tip!

Thanks for the help.

Sorted now, one of the vacuum pipes had worked a little loose so just needed pushing back on :)
