1999 e320cdi inspection

I am going to view a 199v plate e320cdi, is there anything specifically i need to check. Are there common faults with these cars, obviously apart from the rust issues with these cars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rust on the front wings above the bumpers. Pull back the rubber on the top of each door and check for rust...it will be there. Rust on the cross-member in front of the engine (though difficult to see).

The engine should be bullet proof.

Rust rust and more rust, oh and did I mention rust.

Did any of these cars on this year suffer from the Valeo rad issue?
