1999 Slk Pse Unit

I am in need of a working 1999 slk pse unit,

i think mine is broken , ive tried stripping it down and cleaning it but still have a problem.

i could do with someone lending me one to see if it cures my problem .

i dont suppose anyone is near to me , i am in crewe cheshire in the uk.

please help , its driving me mad .

i persume you mean turn it over or put it in a bin liner like merc do,

ill probably give my local dealer a ring tomorrow and get a price ,

if its silly money i will have to keep for a second hand one.,

i am 99% sure it is the problem

alarm goes off 40 seconds after locking car every time.
sometimes it decides to lock itself the go off after 40 seconds

alarm still goes off after 40 seconds even if PSE is disconnected , this is the only thing that makes me think it may be something else,
but what else can it be , thats the question?

All of your faults point towards the pump,,if the pump ECU does not know what the locking status is it cant set this is often accompanied by indicator faults.

it should be the pump,, you could check on Bezworld where Bazzle has done a lot of post on this.

just fitted new Pse unit £ 340 from mercedes

and it didn't solve my problem ,

not happy and they have told me i can't have a refund unless i book it in for them to look at .

i now think it may be the siren,

any ideas

all sorted , got my cash back and it turned out to be the siren ,which i got for nothing ,
