New to the site and hopefully looking for some help,
I have a 2002 c220 cdi and it has a new problem, on initial start up, I have boost for a mile or so, but very noisy whirring sound, then it drops into limp mode and does the usual 3000rpm limit, crap up hills, and generally rubbish performance!
I changed the maf the last time it went into limp mode (6 months ago) with an eBay special from a crashed c220, and it worked great, but I don't remember the loud whirring sound (sounds like the turbo is spooling V. Loudly)
I have pinpointed two potential suspects from reading posts,
A: a leaking pipe
B: the maf again
Does anyone have any thoughts that could help, or thoughts on the above suspicions?????
