Hi guys hoping for some help on a starting issue I have on my own CLK.

Last week parked up at doctors came back out and car would nt start with symptoms of no fuel but had plenty. Recovered car back to my workshop messed about checking things over no apparent problems no fault codes did a few function tests with the Snap On verdict I have and the car then started and ran fine for days. One morning last week went to start and started and stop straight away left a couple of minutes checked for fault codes on dash command app and still clear. Tried starting and away she went again totally fine. Then a couple of nights ago I drive into tesco come back out to restart and nothing. No codes just does nt want to fire up.

Changed the CPS and still no joy. No fault codes are being shown at all.

Anyone got experience of a similar issue?? It defo seems to be a lack of fuel to the engine.

Check the fuel pressure firstly. You will need a gauge attached to the fuel rail.

I take it the engine turned over?

Sounds like your fuel pump has packed up, can you hear it prime up when you turn the ignition on

They can suffer from the earth wire to the fuel pump getting hot and making a poor contact.
Next time the symptoms are there check the relay is clicking over in the rear Sam and then that the earth is good at the pump
