2004 E270cdi exhaust. Where from.

The E270cdt I'm looking at needs a new exhaust on one side. I'll be using the cost of a replacement as a bargaining tool but I'm having trouble finding one at the likes of ATS.

Is it going to be Merc main dealers only or am I missing something?

Probably main dealer only in that case. Alternative is to get a stainless one custom fabricated, which worked out cheaper than the main dealer's offering on my old S210.

Its worth checking with the likes of GSF or ECP to compare prices with MB .

Also worth looking at some of the aftermarket brands like Eberspacher ( OEM ) or Ernst .

Hi,
I would be looking at Fleabay or a breakers for a good used part.
How bad is the exhaust? A competent welder could perhaps patch it up as good as new for less money than even a used part? Just depends whom you know?
