2004 xenon light not working just flashing

Hi newbie here
Just bought 2004 e class 320d
What a lovely car
the passenger side headlight has packed up.
ive changed the bulb at £100 and the ignitor that attaches to the bulb but still nothing

Any ideas guys on a cheap fix

As well as the igniter there is a ballast control unit that may have failed. Don't know about an E Class but on other Mercs it's often fitted to the underside of the headlamp assembly.

It'll probably look something like this: GENUINE Mercedes A B C S-Class W203 W220 W169 CL SL AL Xenon Headlight Ballast | eBay
