2005 slk 350

My wife's thinking of changing her slk230 k for an r171 v6.i know the 280 engine suffered from balance shaft problems for some model years,does anyone know if the 350's have similar or any other problems,thanks for any help.

Do you know what years?(from memory I thought it was 2006-8 the car my wife's looking at is an 05 plate).

Errrm from my memory it was from around 05 to 07/08

I think if you google it some answers come up. I had a clk280 which was an 05 and came within the issue years.
