2006 E class 280 diesel engine rattle

Just changed the oil and I am getting a little knock as I accelerate.
Before the engine is warm once hot its fine.
I put in recommended 5W-30 Mobil one fully synthetic.

Any suggestions ? Go to a 5W-40 grade I guess

Will drop to Fuchs on the next change seems to be very intermittent so must be oil starvation I when cold, compared to whatever was in it before I bought it.

No, that's a characteristic of the noise.

5w-30 is a fine grade of oil.

I hate to say the intermittent nature of this sound does tie in with other peoples issues. The good news, it can be left as its not life threatening but the bad news is that it is expensive, very.
