I've started having some problems with my C Class Coupe this weekend. Its a Diesel automatic covered just short of 80,000 miles.
The kick down yesterday was being a little tempermental, but after stopping for a short while and starting the car again this has now resolved itself.
This morning the engine management light has came on whilst on a short drive - although the car is driving fine, and the kickdown is working fine.
I have stopped for a short while now, but will try again in a short while and I expect the engine management light may disappear, even if for a short while.
I just wondered if anyone had any ideas, I am away for the weekend but have a diagnostics machine at home - I am thinking I should be ok to drive it home as if it was anything to serious the car would go into a restricted performance mode, or is this not the case?
