2007 Mercedes CLK 350

That is an interesting thread for sure. Never considered this (also just realised that Japan is driving on the right side)

I purchased a couple of Mazda Bongo's from them in the past and they were accurately described.

Don't be afraid to put in a low offer to help with paying HMRC's totally unearned income.;)

So basically one has to pay on top of this:
- 10% of Import tax from non EU
- VAT of 17% circa

Anything I am missing ?

Am I missing something? I can't see a price displayed?

Would you also have to factor in the cost of:
New speedo with MPH
Reprogramming COMAND, dash display etc into English
Would the TV work here? or the Radio?
New boot with euro-sized plate indent
Would the service history transfer in to MB in the UK?
What actually IS a digital meter? Is it just one meter?

The price is £6400 including shipping before you make an offer.

From previous experience you would most likely get £1000 off this price.

You would not need a new boot as you are allowed to use the small square plate for an import, unless they have changed the rules.

You have to log in to view the full details.

It's 20% VAT but they also charge VAT on the import duty because they don't need a gun and a mask.

Good questions from Halcyon:
- speedo change ?
- Reprogramming COMAND, dash display etc into English
The rest seems fine.

I signed up also to have a look and the prices seem attractive. For this one, it would be:
Offer: 6400
trading price: 5500
VAT: +1100
Non EU Import: 550
Costs for DVLA: X
Total: 7150 GBP + X

What do you think Vito ?

It doesn't sound expensive for a 56000 mile vehicle that would have been a small fortune new.

There will be no corrosion issues as the Japs use volcanic ash on the roads not salt.

I had templates made to fit on the speedometer that showed MPH instead of KPH , whether you would get away will that now I don't know.It certainly doesn't matter the mileage showing in kilometres though.

Bid them another £500 less , they can only say no or make a counter offer.;)
