"The next generation Mercedes-Benz CLK, currently “in works”, will be a lot more ostentatious, displaying a dynamic look with angular lines, refining the visual language of the new C-Class sedan. Official launch is expected for 2009, sales beginning later. With components from both C-Class and E-Class (to save costs), the 2009 CLK will compete with Audi A5, BMW 3-series, and Lexus SC..."

This is from a new review on the 2009 Mercedes CLK-Class from TopSpeed. It has info on the expected features of the new model line, as well as history and competitors it may have. Also available is a picture gallery.

Totally judgmental, but I think that second photo makes it look like the E92 3-Series.

Many cars seem to look similar to each these days though. Maybe the designers are all moonlighting?

Is this vehicle due in the year 2009, or 2008? If this is a genuine picture then will the replacement E-class have similar looks?

I actually think this would be a huge improvement on the current CLK which in my opinion i too soft looking, a bit girly... I much prefered the 208 and was dissapointed at the 209 and it has never grown on me..

Like the overall shape..BUT THOSE FRONT LIGHTS!!!!
